What do you get when Sleeping Beauty, Ariel, Cinderella, and Snow White all show up for a sleepover? A magical evening of laughter, imagination, and the sweetest pretend play—right in the heart of the MCC Rose Garden in Mesa, Arizona.
As a Gilbert creative child photographer, these are the sessions I absolutely live for. The kind where the scene is so full of life and joy, you forget it’s even a photo session. This princess-themed shoot was one big dreamy adventure, styled to look like the girls were having a royal wash day at their sleepover.
We hung up their gowns—sparkling and colorful—on a clothesline like they had all just finished a morning of castle chores. Each child wore pajamas inspired by their princess, with dainty details and colors that matched their fairy tale character. There was a vanity station for pretend makeup and sparkly jewelry, a pink ironing board just the right size for little hands, and even a wash basin complete with an old-fashioned scrub board. Every little corner told part of the story—and the girls loved it.
One of the most special parts of this session was watching how much fun the kids were having. I believe great photos come from real joy—not just perfect poses or fancy edits. When the girls are laughing, pretending, and completely in the moment, that’s when the magic happens. The fact that they didn’t want to stop playing even after the camera was off? That’s how I know we created something truly special.
Thank you to these sweet families for letting me be part of your princess memories. I feel so lucky to be a Gilbert creative child photographer who gets to dream up scenes like this—and then watch those dreams come to life through the eyes of children.
If your little one has a big imagination and a love for all things magical, I’d love to create a custom session just for them. Check out my upcoming mini sessions or reach out to book your own fairytale-inspired experience.
