Groovy Vibes and Big Smiles – A 70s Inspired Session with Muddie Puddles
Wow—what a way to kick off the season! After a few years away from doing styled shoots together, I’m so excited to say that Muddie Puddles and I are finally back at it. And let me tell you… we came back with a bang!
We kicked things off with an absolutely adorable 70s-inspired photo session, and it was everything. Muddie Puddles created the sweetest outfits using real vintage patterns from the 1970s. From little rompers to flower-power dresses, every detail was perfect. The girls looked like they had stepped straight out of a time machine—in the best way!
And the best part? The session featured a real vintage VW bug—yep, the classic one! It was decked out with fresh sunflower garlands and parked on the prettiest green grass in Queen Creek. The warm sunlight filtered through the trees, giving everything a soft, dreamy glow. The kids had the best time climbing around the car, giggling with each other, and playing in the sunshine. One little one even wore a floppy sunhat that added the perfect final touch.
As an Arizona child photographer based in Gilbert, sessions like these make my heart so full. They remind me why I love what I do—capturing genuine joy, connection, and childhood magic. Working with amazing local businesses like Muddie Puddles, who care just as much about crafting meaningful experiences, is such a gift.
There’s nothing better than seeing kids feel free to laugh, play, and just be themselves in front of the camera. And there’s nothing quite like watching that magic unfold through a lens.
