I will always be drawn to images that are filled with bright color and I’m absolutely convinced this is a result of my 90s girl Lisa Frank programming. I remember using my birthday money to buy the latest pack of brightly colored gel pens to doodle all over my homework with. Debating which colorfully chaotic lisa frank folder I wanted to hold my homework (i always picked the tiger!) and being severely disappointed when school announced we had to use the BORING solid colored folders (at least I had my trusty gel pens to doodle on them with!)
For my squad sessions this year I had the loose theme of decades. Last spring we did a 70s inspired VW bug session in the wildflowers and I had originally planned for the fall theme to be Stranger Things. But as the bright hot summer dragged on I just couldn’t get my heart into the darker 80s themed session. So I jumped forward a decade to the 90s and all things Lisa Frank and fortunately for me the squad was 100% on board with the theme change!
For a brightly colored backdrop that would make Lisa Frank proud we headed downtown to Phoenix where my all time favorite rainbow wall exists. I grabbed a couple of brightly colored scooters just for fun and we had a blast soaking in all the color of this session.
